ESPLANADE BBQ - KINGFISHER

Public BBQ

The Esplanade BBQ at Kingfisher delivers something increasingly rare these days – a genuinely perfect spot that doesn't oversell itself. Perched along the waterfront, this barbecue area combines pristine facilities with what locals accurately describe as a "million dollar view." The sea breeze provides natural air conditioning while you cook, and the consistently clean BBQs and seating suggest someone actually cares about maintenance here. What sets this place apart is its versatility – you can fire up the barbie, cast a line into the waterways, or simply let the dog stretch its legs along the esplanade. The proximity to the RSL across the road means cold beer is never far away, completing what might be Australia's most civilised outdoor dining experience. It's free, functional, and refreshingly unpretentious.
